A story-led Gita book for children aged 8–12

Growing up is noisy. Give them an inner compass.

More screens. More comparison. More pressure to fit in. Money can buy another toy; it cannot make a hard choice for a child. This book brings Krishna’s wisdom into the moments when courage, calm, and kindness actually matter.

Why Nishikant Tiwari wrote this

First for my son. Then for every child who needs it.

I did not want to hand my son another book that simply tells him to be good. I wanted to give him stories he could remember when I am not standing beside him: when fear makes his voice shake, when the right choice is unpopular, when his mind will not settle.

Years of teaching have shown me that a big idea becomes useful when someone can see it in their own life. That is why this book moves between Arjuna’s questions and the ordinary struggles of children today. I hope it helps them think for themselves, act with courage, and stay kind amid the noise. Every child deserves that chance.

THE IDEA BEHIND THE BOOK

A child does not need every answer handed to them. They need the courage to ask, the calm to think, and a way to choose.

Stories children will recognise

Big questions. Scenes they will recognise.

COURAGERavi’s voice disappears before his poem. Can he take one step while still feeling afraid?
HELPFUL ACTIONSofia keeps saying “later” to a muddled tin of Grandpa’s medicines. Can she turn a good intention into helpful action?
LETTING GOTia tries to teach a parrot two kind words. He learns all the wrong ones. Can she learn to let go?
Look inside the book

Ten stories. Ten lessons. Ten activities.

Each chapter begins with Arjuna’s doubt, explores Krishna’s wisdom in simple words, and follows a modern child facing a familiar challenge. A Reflect & Act activity helps young readers put the idea into practice.

Meet the author

Nishikant Tiwari

I have spent two decades working with complex ideas in technology and many years teaching and mentoring. The moment I value most is when an idea stops sounding difficult and becomes something a person can actually use.

In this book, I bring that same care to the Gita: stories children can enter, questions they can wrestle with, and room for them to discover their own judgment.
